Launch Your K-2 Learners into the Foundations of...

In the words of Sally Ride, American astronaut and physicist, “Science is fun. Science is curiosity. We all have natural curiosity. Science is a process of investigating. It’s posing questions and coming up with a method. It’s delving in.” Every teacher knows that learning isn’t limited by the boundaries of one subject area. Learning is exploring and questioning. It’s critical thinking and effective communication skills. Ride knew that science was a launching pad for scientific exploration and so much more.

That’s why ExploreLearning Science4Us is more than just a science program. It goes beyond one subject to infuse literacy and math skills through a variety of learning styles to meet the needs of all learners. Don’t students in kindergarten, 1st grade, and 2nd grade deserve a program that is designed specifically for them?

Making the Case for K-2 Science

  • Young children are natural investigators. They’re developing scientific research skills every day. Dropping objects to see what happens. Blowing bubbles. Building towers. Caring for pets. Bouncing rubber balls. The young scientists in action are making connections as they test theories in the world around them. For students in K-2, science feels a lot like play. So, capture that enthusiasm in the classroom and watch it grow!
  • Educators know how to take advantage of teachable moments. Teachers understand the importance of layering one learning opportunity on another, making each fun and engaging in the process. Bring science concepts into the gym? No problem. Incorporate math into a reading lesson? Sure! Investigation with a writing prompt? Perfect fit! Science4Us knows the value of a cross-curricular focus as well. Each lesson blends science with an infusion of math and literacy skills. Plus, the interactive activities, songs, and characters will grab (and hold) the attention of students.
  • Let’s face it. Teaching content isn’t as simple as having subject-matter knowledge. Teachers need support for successful classroom implementation. Science4Us has it covered! With lesson plans, implementation guides, and professional development available, teachers can feel confident as they bring Science4Us into the classroom without any added prep time.
  • Educators work hard to squeeze essential content into every moment of the school day, so programs need to be effective, efficient, and worth the valuable class time. Science4Us has engaging activities that bring science, math, and literacy to one place! With flexible delivery methods, our standards-based program will become an integral part of your learning routines. Science4Us offers experiences to accomplish performance expectations identified in the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) with success!

It’s never too early to learn science! That natural curiosity is already there. Building on that with Science4Us makes sense. Using a program that is developmentally appropriate for young students will bring powerful results to your classroom.
