Shauna Kirkland

Digital Marketing Specialist

quote start quote end I really enjoy getting to work with a team that has a sense of camaraderie where everyone is welcome to openly share ideas, solutions, passions, and feedback.

What 3-5 adjectives best describe you?
Kind, cheerful, trustworthy, generous, and optimistic

Briefly describe your job… what do you really do at EL?
I am a part of the marketing operations team, and my focus is email marketing, primarily on projects requested by sales. We evaluate each project for the proper resources, then connect to iron out any questions and timing details, and coordinate with the marketing team to build the email, set up the campaign parameters and target audience, and schedule deployment. Another crucial part of my job is to evaluate campaign/project performance and engagement and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.

What do you like about working at EL?

Zip lining over the Great River in Jamaica.

Tell us about one of your STEM mentors. Who inspired you, and how??
I was inspired by my chemistry teacher in Jr. High school, sadly I can’t remember his name, but I do recall that he really made Chemistry fun and I looked forward to his class.

What big STEM accomplishment do you think we’ll see happen in the next 100 years, and why are you excited about it? I’m both nervous and excited as the transportation industry evolves and gasoline-powered vehicles become a thing of the past.
